Ashiatsu:
Ashiatsu, also called “back walking” is a type of massage in which the therapist walks on your back with bare feet. Therapists often use props like ceiling bars attached in a certain way to keep their balance and support their bodies while putting as much pressure on their backs as they want.
Instead of using their hands, the therapist presses on the body with their feet. The therapist will tell the patient to lie on a massage table with their face down. The therapist will stand above the client using ropes, bars, chairs, or benches. The therapist will then rub the patient’s body with their feet. The therapist may use long, deep strokes on the body because of gravity and pressure.
Before an Ashiatsu massage starts, the body is often covered in oils, creams, or lotions to help relax the muscles and improve the experience.
Back walking can relax your back:
Our backs can be hurt by our daily activities, posture, and habits. Your aches and pains may be getting worse every day. When these problems keep happening, they can make it hard for you to make a living because they drain your energy and make it hard on your mind to think about having to deal with the pain again the next day.
Massage is good for a person’s body over a long period. By moving the hands along the muscles, you can reduce stress, improve your posture, and get more blood flowing. There are many types of massage, and most of them are done with the hands. However, one type of massage is done with the feet, which is called “Ashiatsu.”
How to Do Back Walking?
Ashiatsu is a type of massage therapy that has been around for a while but is becoming increasingly popular. This type of massage came from the East, in which the therapist walks on the patient’s back to move it. Even though there are different stories about when and where it started, this type of “back walking” massage can be traced back to ancient India, China, Japan, and other Asian countries.
One of the earliest written records of this technique comes from Kerala, India, where martial artists and classical dancers created a discipline called Chavutti Thirumal. In the language of the area, both “Chavutti” and “Thirumal” mean “massage.” Students of different martial arts and dance types used foot massage techniques to speed up the healing process and keep their bodies as flexible as possible.

Is it healthy to walk on your back?
Strong muscles in your back help keep your back in the right place, and walking makes your muscles stronger and gives your body the chance to heal itself. A chiropractor can fix your back, but if you walk often, your back will stay in place.
